Several years ago I bought a wonderful home on the Roaring Fork River that had been designed by Glenn Rappaport and his firm Black Shack Architects. 

I loved the house as it was originally conceived, but I needed to make a few minor changes.

Glenn could not have been more helpful in working with me to design and execute the modifications that I envisioned. Glenn and his team were a pleasure to work with and for that I am very grateful. It is also nice to regularly see Glennaround town where both he and I live and work.

What started out as a dark and dreary house in a beautiful setting, turned into a modern, light filled home.

Glenn’s touch included adding oversized windows and glass doors to take in the views of the Roaring Fork River. He raised the ceilings and moved walls to create a sense of space that felt far greater than the actual square footage. 

Every time that I walk through the front door, I smile at the results of Glenn’s architectural design.

He was a delight to work with, and always advocated for my vision with contractors and engineers. The finished product is a beautiful, open home that overlooks the Osprey, Eagles and Herons that play along the Roaring Fork River.
